Privacy Policy

Overview

This Site is managed by a third party service provider of Allusedparts.com (the "Online Store" and collectively with Allusedparts.com "we" or "us"). We are committed to protecting our customers' privacy. Your privacy through the use of the Web site located at URL http://www.Allusedparts.com ("the Site") is paramount in that goal. Other service providers we use on the site include credit card processors and shipping services.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy ("Policy") is to inform you about the types of information we gather about you and your organization, how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of, and your ability to correct, that information. This Policy may change from time to time, so please check back periodically.

In addition to our Privacy Policy, we also recommend you read our Terms & Conditions for important information regarding your rights and obligations, as well as limitations and exclusions, that apply to your purchases on the Site and the use of the Site. By using our Site, you acknowledge that you have read and understand our privacy policy and our Terms & Conditions. Please fully review our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions before using the Site...

1. What information do we collect from you?

In order to better provide you with numerous products and services, the Site collects two types of information about its visitors: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information. Our primary goal in collecting information from you is to provide you with a smooth, efficient, and customized experience while using the Site. The Online Store collects information on behalf of Allusedparts.com.

Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that lets us know the specifics of who you are. Personal information is requested when you order a product or service, enter contests or sweepstakes, fill out surveys, and correspond with us. This information might include contact information such as your name, mailing address, telephone number, e-mail address and financial information such as your credit card number (only if you choose to purchase a product online). With this information, we can fill your service and product orders and better provide you with personalized services.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information: This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where you shop on the Site in several ways. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include the Web site's Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol ("IP") address. A URL is the global address of documents and other resources on the World Wide Web. An IP address is an identifier for a computer or device on a Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol ("TCP/IP") network, such as the World Wide Web. Networks use the TCP/IP protocol to route information based on the IP address of the destination. In other words, an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web, allowing Web servers to locate and identify your computer. Computers require IP addresses in order for users to communicate on the Internet, browse and shop.

2. Where do we collect information from you and how do we use it?

Our primary goal in collecting personal information is to provide our visitors with a superior customized online experience. We use the customer contact information to fill orders, contact prior purchasers to inform them of their order status and to send promotional e-mails.

We may perform statistical analyses of aggregate customer behavior. This allows us to measure relative customer interest in the various areas of the Site for product development purposes. Any information we collect is used for our own internal purposes to improve the content of the Site, to enhance users' experiences when visiting the Site, to customize the content and/or layout of our pages, and to provide the services required by an individual customer

We gather information in the following ways:

  • Shopping: We collect IP addresses for the purposes of system administration, to gather broad demographic information, and to monitor the level of activity on the Site. We collect information from visitors to the Site regarding the referring URL, your IP address, which browser you used to come to the Site, the country, state, the pages of the Site that you viewed during your visit and any search terms entered on the Site.

  • Ordering: When you order from us, we collect personally identifiable information from you. If you order one of our products or services, we will collect and maintain your name, e-mail address, mailing address, telephone number, product selections, credit card number, order number, referring URL, IP address and a password. We collect this, and other information, as disclosed in this Policy, in order to fill your order, to communicate with you about your order and to send you promotional materials. Before confirming your order, you will have the opportunity to review the product order form and make changes and additions to the information it contains and these changes will be automatically kept for future use.

  • Online Surveys and Polling: In order to improve our services to you, we ask some of our customers to voluntarily complete surveys, which may be collected by an independent third party. Individual survey answers are confidential, although Non-Personally Identifiable Information is collected and disclosed to third parties. If you do not wish to participate in a survey, simply decline to participate when asked.

  • Contests and Sweepstakes: When you enter a contest or other promotion, we may ask you for contact information such as your name, mailing address and e-mail address in order to administer the contest, to send you promotional e-mails, notify winners and make the winners' list publicly available pursuant to certain states' laws.

  • Newsletters, Product Updates, & Promotional E-mails: We may offer free electronic newsletters, product updates, and promotional e-mails as a service to our prior customers. We may send you newsletters and e-mails periodically listing current specials, promotions, and deals. In addition, there may be other opportunities to subscribe to an e-mail list that will send you information about the Site events, but we will only add you to the list with your consent. We will not send e-mails to you if you have requested us not to do so unless we need to confirm for our records that you do not want to receive promotional emails. This option is usually included in your account registration form or at our optional home page registration form. If you have established an account with us, to stop receiving promotional emails and newsletters in the future, please go to the account page and log in with your account information. Once you are logged in you may scroll to the bottom of the page and un-check the opt-in box. Then click the 'Update Account' button and you will be removed from our mailing list. If you have not set up an account with us, but have previously registered at our home page to receive future information, you may unsubscribe by sending a blank email to the unsubscribe address specified at the bottom of the email you receive to let us know you do not wish us to sent future newsletters, updates or promotional emails to you.

  • Cookies & Comparable Technologies: We use cookies in the operation of the Site.
    • Like many companies, we utilize cookies and similar technologies (“cookies”) to personalize and improve your experience with our Service. Both we and our third-party partners, including Google Analytics, may use cookies, web beacons, tracking pixels, web bugs, scripts, tags, and other similar technologies (collectively referred to as “Cookies”) to gather information about your activities on our websites as well as on third-party sites you visit.
    • Cookies: A cookie is a small text file stored on your device for record-keeping purposes. It tracks your activities on a website and "remembers" you when you return. Some cookies stay on your device until you delete them, while others, like session ID cookies, expire when you close your browser. You can adjust your device settings to reject cookies, but this may impact the functionality of our Services. The information collected by cookies can include, but is not limited to: your IP address, browser type and language, device type, device identifiers, and other software details (like device configuration and apps used). Additionally, it may track your search and browsing history, web usage, referring and exit pages, clicks, landing pages, requested and viewed pages, time spent on those pages, and the date and time of each request.
    • Pixels: Pixels are small graphics with unique identifiers used to track users' online activities. Unlike cookies, which are stored on a computer’s hard drive, pixels are about the size of a period and are embedded invisibly in web pages or HTML-based emails. We do not have control over how third parties use these pixels.
    • Google Analytics: Google, as our analytics provider, may collect information about how users engage with our website when we use Google Analytics. This includes data on the pages users enter and exit, the pages viewed, time spent on each page, browser version, operating system, IP address, and geolocation. These technologies enable Google to recognize users both on our Services and across other websites. Google aggregates this information and shares it with us and other website operators, including data on age range, gender, geographic regions, interests, and details about the devices used for browsing and purchases. For more details on Google’s data collection methods and usage, please refer to the Google Privacy Policy. To manage your Google Analytics tracking preferences, visit this link. You can also learn more about our use of Google and manage your choices by clicking on the Cookie icon, Cookie link, or Privacy Choices link at the bottom of the page, depending on the website you are visiting.
      • We may also use various forms of display advertising and advanced features through Google Analytics. These features allow us to utilize first-party cookies (like the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies (such as the DoubleClick advertising cookie) to inform, optimize, and display ads based on your previous visits to our Services. You can manage your advertising preferences for certain Google advertising products by visiting the Google Ads Preferences Manager or exploring the resources available at the NAI’s website: NAI Opt-Out.
    • Online Ads: To learn more about interest-based advertising and your choices regarding it, you can visit the Digital Advertising Alliance’s (DAA) resources at www.aboutads.info/choices or the Network Advertising Initiative’s (NAI) resources at http://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, visit youronlinechoices.eu for more information.
      • You can also limit interest-based advertising through your mobile device settings by selecting “Limit Ad Tracking” on iOS or “Opt-Out of Interest-Based Ads” on Android. Additionally, you may opt out of some—but not all—interest-based advertising from mobile ad networks by downloading the AppChoices app at http://youradchoices.com/appchoices.
      • Please note that opting out of interest-based advertisements does not mean you will stop seeing ads from us or on our online services; it simply means the ads you see from DAA program participants will not be based on your interests. We are not responsible for the effectiveness or compliance of any third-party opt-out options or programs, nor for the accuracy of their claims. Furthermore, third parties may continue to use cookies to collect information about your use of our online services for purposes such as analytics and fraud prevention, as allowed under the DAA’s Principles.

  • Contact Information and Third Party Data: If you contact us by telephone, e-mail or letter, we may keep a record of your correspondence or comments. If you report a problem with the Site, we may collect such information in a file specific to you in order to troubleshoot problems, resolve disputes and better serve your needs. If you contact us through our feedback area or by calling one of our customer service representatives, we ask for your name and e-mail address in order to send you a reply. If other users or third parties send us correspondence about your activities or purchases on the Site, we may keep the information in a file specific to you.

  • Customer Traffic Patterns: We track customers' traffic patterns throughout their online sessions, including which pages a customer views while using the Site. This information is ultimately stored in the form of store categories, and, in some cases, specific URLs. We use your IP address to diagnose problems with our servers and software and to administer the Site.

  • We may share aggregated statistics about pages viewed on the Site and sales and other shopping information with third parties.

  • Warranty Information: From time to time we may offer additional warranty or service programs on our Site. These programs are often administered by third party warranty and service companies. When you purchase a warranty, we pass along your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, warranty purchased and information about the product purchased to the warranty company.

In addition, we may assign or otherwise transfer to a third party certain of your information in connection with an assignment, sale, transfer or disposition of a portion or all of our business, assets, or stock.

Except as otherwise stated in this Policy, at present we do not disclose our customers' Personally Identifiable Information to other merchants. In the future, with your prior permission, we may provide some customer information to companies with products or services that may be of interest to you. This would be for marketing purposes only and no credit card number information would be given. Before agreeing to release your information, you should first confirm that our partner's privacy policy is acceptable to you because once your data is released, we would have no further control over it.

From time to time, we may be required by law enforcement or judicial authorities to provide Personally Identifiable Information to the appropriate governmental authorities.
