Frequently Asked Questions
PartsCare™ is an optional, monthly-subscription Protection Plan for eligible used auto parts. Once you enroll, PartsCare™ coverage takes the place of the AllUsedParts standard warranty — it doesn't run alongside it, extend it, or stack on top of it.
How is PartsCare™ different from the standard AllUsedParts warranty?
The standard warranty is what comes with your part at the time of purchase. PartsCare™ is a separate, optional plan you can choose to enroll in. When you enroll, PartsCare™ coverage replaces the standard warranty going forward for that part.
Which parts are eligible?
PartsCare™ currently covers these categories of mechanical parts:
- Engines
- Transmissions
- Transfer cases
- Rear axles
- Turbochargers
When can I enroll?
You can enroll an eligible part any time within 12 months of its original purchase date . Once those 12 months pass, the part can no longer be enrolled in PartsCare™ — there are no exceptions, extensions, or late enrollments.
How long does my coverage last?
Your Coverage Period begins on the date you enroll (not your original purchase date) and is determined by the part's mileage at the time of enrollment:
Under 100,000 miles: Up to 7 years - 1.25% / month
100,000 – 149,999 miles: Up to 5 years - 1.50% / month
150,000+ miles: Up to 3 years - 1.75% / month
Are there any mileage limits once I'm enrolled?
Yes. Coverage allows up to 12,000 miles of use per year of coverage, with the following overall caps by tier:
3-year tier: 36,000-mile limit
5-year tier: 60,000-mile limit
7-year tier: 84,000-mile limit
What ends my coverage?
Coverage ends automatically at whichever of these happens first:
- Your Coverage Period expires
- You cancel your subscription, or payment lapses
- Your vehicle exceeds the mileage limit for your tier
What do I need to enroll?
At enrollment, you'll need to provide:
- Your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
- A photo of your vehicle's odometer
- Your original order information
What do I need if I file a claim?
To submit a claim, you'll need to provide:
- A current odometer photo
- Current VIN photo or verification
- Photos or videos of the failed part
- Your standard warranty documentation
Is there a deductible?
Yes, a $150 deductible applies per approved replacement claim. AllUsedParts determines, at its reasonable discretion, whether a submitted claim qualifies for replacement coverage.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can cancel your PartsCare™ subscription at any time by contacting AllUsedParts customer service or cancelling manually. Coverage ends immediately upon cancellation, and no further claims can be submitted for that part after that date. AllUsedParts does not guarantee a refund of previously paid subscription fees, except where required by law.
