Theft Coverage
Shipping Protection provides peace of mind by covering your order against unexpected shipping issues during transit.

Why Shipping Protection Matters
Auto parts often travel long distances through multiple freight terminals and delivery trucks. Large parts like engines, transmissions, and body panels may pass through several logistics hubs before reaching their destination.
Shipping Protection helps ensure that if something goes wrong during delivery, your order can be resolved quickly.
Transit Damage
Heavy auto parts may occasionally be damaged during freight handling. Shipping Protection ensures the issue is addressed quickly.
Lost Shipments
If a shipment cannot be located by the carrier during transit, Shipping Protection allows for faster resolution
Theft After Delivery
Large packages left unattended are a target. Our protection covers theft that occurs after confirmed delivery, giving you a path to resolution if it happens.
One Flat Fee Covers Your Order
The protection fee is determined by the total invoiced value of your order.
Coverage is limited to the original invoiced order amount.

How Claims Work
All shipping issues must be reported within 5 calendar days of the carrier's delivery date. Our goal is to resolve your issue as quickly as possible so you can get back on the road. For more detailed information, please refer to our Shipping Protection Terms and Conditions.
Contact Allusedparts support
Reach out through our support channel with your order number and a description of the issue. Do this within 5 days of the delivery date shown in the carrier's tracking system.
Submit your documentation
For damage claims: submit photos of the damage, packaging, and shipping label within 5 days after delivery. For theft claims: report the theft within 4 hours of delivery; provide a police report or case number within 5 business days of filing. Lost shipment claims do not require photos.
We investigate with the carrier
Allusedparts coordinates directly with the carrier. For lost shipments, we initiate a formal carrier trace. For damage, we review carrier records alongside your documentation.
Resolution is provided
Upon claim approval, Allusedparts will issue either a replacement part of equal value or a refund of your original order amount — based on parts availability and the nature of your claim. We aim to initiate resolution within 10 business days of receiving all required documentation.
Frequently Asked Questions
All shipping issues must be reported within 5 calendar days of the carrier's delivery date. Our goal is to resolve your issue as quickly as possible so you can get back on the road.
Why do I need Shipping Protection for auto parts?
Auto parts — especially large items like engines, transmissions, and body panels — often travel long distances through multiple freight terminals and delivery trucks. More handling means more opportunity for something to go wrong. Shipping Protection ensures that if an issue occurs, it's resolved quickly so you can get back on the road.
What does Shipping Protection cover?
Shipping Protection covers three main scenarios: transit damage (parts damaged during freight handling), lost shipments (packages that cannot be located by the carrier), and theft after delivery (packages confirmed delivered but stolen shortly after). If any of these occur, our team works quickly to investigate and resolve your issue.
What does Shipping Protection not cover?
Shipping Protection does not apply to the following situations, regardless of whether protection was purchased:
- Incorrect address: Packages undeliverable because of an incorrect, incomplete, or inaccessible shipping address provided at checkout
- Refused delivery: Packages refused by you or anyone at your delivery address at the time of delivery
- Return-to-sender: Packages returned to Allusedparts due to failed delivery attempts, unclaimed holds, or inaccessible delivery locations
- Post-delivery damage: Damage occurring after delivery is complete, including damage during or as a result of customer handling, installation, storage, or modification of the part
- Product defects or returns: Shipping Protection only covers issues that occur during shipping or delivery. Product warranties and return policies apply separately and are not affected by Shipping Protection. Please refer to our warranty and returns policy for those situations.
Delivery is considered complete upon the carrier's first attempted delivery to the shipping address, whether or not someone was present to accept it.
Is Shipping Protection required?
Shipping Protection is optional, but strongly recommended — especially for large or high-value parts like engines and transmissions that travel through multiple freight hubs. Without it, resolving shipping issues may take significantly longer and depend entirely on the carrier's process
Can I add Shipping Protection after placing my order?
Shipping Protection must be added at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retroactively once an order has been placed. If you have questions about your current order, contact our support team as soon as possible.
How quickly do I need to report a shipping issue?
Shipping issues must be reported within 5 days of delivery (except for theft after delivery, these need to be reported within 4 hours of theft). Be sure to inspect your order promptly upon arrival and contact us right away if you notice any damage or missing items.
I think my package was stolen, what should I do?
All of the following are required for a Theft After Delivery claim to be eligible:
- Reporting window: You must report the theft to Allusedparts within 4 hours of the delivery timestamp in the carrier's tracking system. Claims reported after this window are not eligible.
- Police report: You must provide a police report or official case number from a law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over the delivery address within 5 business days of filing. Failure to provide this will result in denial.
- Additional evidence: Allusedparts may request supplementary evidence as a condition of approval, including security footage, written witness statements, or building management confirmation. You are expected to cooperate with these requests in good faith.
I think my package is lost, what should I do?
A shipment is deemed lost only when all of the following conditions are met:
- The carrier has failed to record a confirmed delivery scan or provide a verifiable location update for 7 or more consecutive business days past the estimated delivery date
- You have reported the issue to Allusedparts within the 5-day reporting window
- A formal carrier trace investigation has been initiated by Allusedparts or at Allusedparts's direction, and the carrier has been unable to confirm the shipment's location or status
What documentation do I need to file a claim?
You'll need your order number at minimum. Where possible, having the following ready will help speed up the investigation:
- Photos of the damaged item or packaging
- Photos of the delivery area (for theft claims)
- Police reports filed after item theft (for theft claims)
- Any communication from the carrier about a lost or delayed shipment
What can void my Shipping Protection?
Parts subject to a Transit Damage claim must not be installed, modified, used, or discarded prior to receiving written claim approval from Allusedparts. Taking any such action before approval constitutes a breach of claim eligibility requirements and may result in full denial of the claim.
What happens after I file a claim?
Once you submit your claim, our support team coordinates an investigation with the carrier on your behalf. Our goal is to resolve the issue as quickly as possible so your order situation is addressed and you can get back on the road.
Does Shipping Protection affect my product warranty?
No. Shipping Protection and your product warranty are completely separate. Filing a shipping claim will not impact your warranty coverage, and your warranty remains in effect regardless of whether you purchased Shipping Protection.
